visiting Prague (2)

onze tweede dag wordt een veel vermoeiendere dag dan dat we ingeschat hebben...het moois maakt veel goed ...

we have underestimated our second day...but the beauty makes up for it ...

onze echte wandeling begint vanaf de Karelsbrug...

we started from the Karelsbridge...

er heerst een gezellig sfeertje, menig cratieveling stelt hier een kraampje op en er speelt een bandje jazz muziek...

there prevails a nice atmosphere, many creative people set a stall here and there's a band that plays jazz music...

de brug dateert van de 14de eeuw en vanaf de 17de eeuw werden de standbeelden toegevoegd, de meesten zijn niet meer de originelen...maar er wordt gezegd, dat even de 'gouden hond' aanraken, je terug naar Praag brengt ... ik heb het maar niet gedaan, nog zoveel moois op mijn verlanglijstje :-) ...

the bridge dates from the 14th century and in the 17th century, the state added the statues, most are not the originals ... but they said that as you touch the "golden dog", will bring you back to Prague ... I didn't do it, there's so many beautiful things on my wish list :-) ...

onder de brug zijn er enkele winkeltjes...tussen de meer toeristische ontdek je ook af en toe origenelere exemplaren...

under the bridge, some touristic shops...good looking you find more original things ...

onder de brug door gaan we richting Kampa eiland...

under the bridge we go to Kampa Island...

ik ben meteen verkocht voor dit rustig stukje Praag...er is een park, het Kampa museum en een pleintje met restaurantjes en hotels ...

I like that quiet piece of Prague... trees, a museum and little restaurants and hotels ..

de kruipende baby's met hun grote hoofden doen me terug denken aan Beaufort...
en even je gsm opladen aan een elektriciteitspaal lijkt daar heel gewoon :-)

and connect your mobile phone on an electricity pole seems to be quite common :-)

halfweg onze tweede dag,tijd voor heerlijke honingcake met noten en verse gemberthee ...maar genoeg voor vandaag...de rest in volgende blogjes :-)

half past our second day, we take a break with delicious honey cake with nuts and fresh ginger tea...show you more later this week ...

en vandaag maak ik er in Leiden een luilekkerdagje van ...stapeltje tijdschriften, wat haken en vooral de voeten de lucht in, die hebben genoeg afgestapt de voorbije week... en ja dit zijn , handgebreide sokken, gekocht in Praag, maar dat zie je in één van de vervolgjes van Praag wel ... :-)

and yes, today it's a lazy day, my feets need rest and with a lot of magazines and a little croche I'll enjoy the day...Oh and this 're indeed handmade socks from Prague, follow my blog in the next days, to see all the beauty from Prague.... :-)

het weekje Praag was een mooie ervaring...ik heb veel gezien, genoten, heel wat emoties en confrontaties ... te veel om in één blogje te verwerken...vandaar dat ik er deze week een vervolgje zal van maken..

the week in Prague was a beautiful experience ... I've seen a lot, enjoyed a lot of emotions and confrontation ... too much to handle in a blog ... that's why this week I'll continue ...

om 3h30 opstaan om de vlucht te halen...met piepoogjes begeven we ons naar Schiphol...maar het zicht boven de wolken , maakt veel goed :-)

wake-up at 3:30 to pick up the flight with tiny eyes ... we go to airport ... but the view over clouds, makes up for it :-)

de KLM zorgt voor een broodje gezond :-)

KLM provides a healthy sandwich :-)

we hebben een eenvoudig hotel gereserveerd net buiten de stadsdrukte en even een tukje doen alvorens de eerste indrukken op te doen is meer dan welkom...

we have reserved a simpel hotel on a quiet place and doing a nap before we go into the city is more than welcome ...

ik ben onmiddellijk betoverd door de mooie gevels ...
I'm fascintated by the beautiful facades...

de metro wordt ons meest gebruikte vervoermiddel...en we belanden bij Mustek...wat ons naar het oude stadsgedeelte brengt ...

the metro is our most used vehicle ... and we take him to Mustek so we came in the old city ...

de 'Astronomische klok'... is prachtig en op het volle uur gaan de luikjes open en komen er heiligen beeldjes tevoorschijn... boven in de toren wordt er dan telkens op de trompet geblazen...een spektakel op zich...

the "Astronomical Clock" ... is amazing and every full hour the shutters go open and holy statues come out ... top of the tower is then blown on the trumpet ... always a spectacle ... itself...

de legende gaat dat Hanus, de man die de laatste hand aan de klok legde, blind werd gemaakt zodat hij deze nergens kon nabouwen ...wat een dankbaarheid :-(

the legend saids that Hanus, the man who put the finishing touches on the clock, was made blind so he never could rebuild the clock... :-(

mooie zonsondergang in de stad ...en we kunnen deze eerste dag afsluiten met een etentje op een terrasje ...het is weliswaar prachtig herfstweer...

beautiful sunset in the city ... and we can end our first day with a dinner on a terrace ... it is indeed beautiful autumn weather ...

tomorrow I must wake up at 3H3O... little bit early in the mornig , but it's for a good reason ...to catch my plane to Prague... I'm a little bit nervous...wondering what travelling will do with my back and if I be able to walk and see what I want ...but I must see it as a vacation...and so there's nothing what realy must ...and all what happens is good ...

I hope you'll have a wonderful week and I'll bring many pics from my trip ;-)

Low impact month...

wie me kent weet dat ik bewust omga met mijn omgeving en mezelf... niet enkel omdat ik zo geniet van al het mooie dat moeder Aarde ons schenkt ...maar omdat ik ook hoop dat we onze kinderen, kleinkinderen en achterkleinkinderen nog een gezonde en mooie plek kunnen geven om te leven ... ik geloof dat alle kleine beetjes helpen en mijn kinderen zullen me vaak een zeur gevonden hebben met mijn 'gezaag' over geen papiertjes op de grond gooien, lichten uit als je niet in de kamer bent, recycleren waar kan, afval sorteren, spaarlampen gebruiken, het water niet onnodig laten stromen, wassen op nachttarief en noem maar op ... maar vermoedelijk zijn er nog weetjes die ik niet ken en niet gebruik...en vandaar liet ik me inschrijven voor het project : 'Low impact maand'... aangezien ik de eerste week in Praag vertoef zal ik wel niet alles kunnen uitvoeren , maar ik ben toch benieuwd waar ik nog een handje kan toesteken ... en jij doe je mee ?


who knows me knows that I deliberately hang out with my surroundings and myself ... not only because I so enjoy all the beauty that Mother Earth gives us ... but because I hope that we can give our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren a healthy and beautiful place to live ... I believe that every little bit helps...my children will often find a nag with my "nagging" about not throwing wrappers on the floor, turning off lights when you're not in the room, recycle all what can be recycle, waste sorting, use energy saving bulbs, don't unnecessary water flow, wash at night rates and so on ... but presumably there are tidbits that I do not know and do not use ... and that's why I register for the project: "Low Impact months' (link above)... as I'm the first week staying in Prague, I can't follow the whole project, but I'm wondering where I can do better ... and I hope you enjoy !! :-)

I 've choose for members from the Est-team from the Czech republic, because tomorrow I'll fly for a few days to Prague ... I've never been there and I hope to be able to see some beauty of the city... it's the first time I'll go on vacation since my surgery and I know it will be totaly different because I've now my limits...

gelukkig mochten we een uurtje meer slapen, want deze morgen moest ik al vroeg uit de veren voor onze samhain-viering.... het was weer een intense en mooie ervaring ...nadien kwam Paulette even langs om te genieten van Rita's heerlijke pompoensoep...het deed deugd haar te zien...

it was a early sunday morning to celebrate our 'samhain'...it was one intense and beautiful ritual...and Paulette visited us to drink a cup of soup, made by Rita...

en daarna ging ik voor het eerst in bijna vier maanden terug naar Leiden, gelukkig reed Flutro, want voor mij is dat nog geen haalbare optie ... ik deed wel mijn best de 'stoffenmarkt ' te gaan bezoeken en vond er een aantal mooie stofjes voor leuke shirtjes ... maar nadien was het voor mij jammer genoeg weer hink-stap-sprong... steeds weer opnieuw verbaasd het me dat stappen me zo beperkt :-( ... benieuwd hoe dat in Praag lukt de komende dagen ....

in the afternoon we went for the first time in almost four months to Leiden...I was happy Flutro would drive, because for me it isn't still an option... we went to a fabric market ... and I found some colorful fabrics to sew some shirts :-) ... but afterwords I had so much pain ...I'm still wondered that I've that limit in walking ... I hope it will be better the next days when I'm visiting Prague...

ik koos voor het thema bomen...enerzijds om het project van Frances te steunen, want wat is er mooier dan om mee te helpen de positieve droom van iemand te laten uitkomen...vooral als de droom jou zo ligt ... :-)... ik heb iets met bomen, vind ze mooi, krachtig , kwetsbaar, beschermend, soms een beetje beangstigend tijdens stormen, zacht, vertederend, in groep of in hun eentje , ze staan daar ,...ze groeien in alle vertrouwen dat het goed is zoals het is... je voelt hen in al hun zijn... ik ben dan ook heel gelukkig in mijn tuintje omringd te zijn door heel wat kleurenpracht van hen... als er iets is wat ik eens zou willen zijn, dan denk ik dat het een boom is ... dus ik hoop dat Frances slaagt, steun met wat je kan ...vele kleintjes maken één groot ...ik wou deze maand eigenlijk drie films zien in de bioskoop, maar ik heb ongeveer het bedrag van drie bioskoopkaartjes geschonken... die films komen wel eens ...en het projekt is nu ...en ik hoop dat elk van jullie ook iets wil schenken...in naam van Frances bedankt !

I chose the theme of trees ... first to support the project of Frances (link above), what is more beautiful than to help someone's positive dream come true ... especially if the dream is so you ... :-)... I have something with trees, think they are beautiful, powerful, vulnerable, protective, sometimes a little scary during storms, gentle, endearing, in groups or by themselves, they are there ... they grow in confidence that it is good as it is ... feel they come into his ... I'm very happy in my little garden surrounded by many colors of them ... if there is anything I would agree, then I think it is a tree ... so I hope Frances passes, aid to what you can do ... I wanted to see this month actually three movies in the cinema, but I have about the amount of three cinema tickets donated ... thpse films can wait... and the project is nearly finished ... and I hope each of you wants to give something in the name of Frances ... thanks!

de lucht is heerlijk blauw en de bladeren verkleuren van groen naar geelgouden tinten... een dag om stevig te wandelen...maar ik moet de administratieberg doorwerken en neen uitstellen is geen optie :-( ...

het is een poosje geleden...maar de tijd vliegt en ik heb de indruk dat alles hier in versnelling gaat ... met 3x/week kiné, 1x/week inspuiting, wekelijkse kalligrafieles, tweewekelijkse zielenzang zijn de dagen al behoorlijk gevuld... en ik liep al een poosje verkouden en wat mijn rug betreft, kan ik jammer genoeg niet zeggen dat er echte verbetering in zit ...maar ik hoop dat de nieuwe medicatie en de kiné iets helpen aan de uitstralingspijn...anders is het nog voor een poosje hink, stap, sprong :-( ....

it was a while ago ... but time flies and I have the impression that everything is in gear ... 3x/week with kine, 1x/week injection, calligraphy weekly, biweekly soul vocals are already quite filled days ... and I had a cold for a while and my back, I can unfortunately not say that real improvements in it ... but I hope the new medication and physiotherapy 'll help ... otherwise it is still for a while, hop, step, jump :-( ....

gelukkig was en is er steeds tijd voor nog andere mooie dingen in mijn leven ....

but there is always time for other beautiful things in my life ....

zo waren er de tuindagen...het was prachtig weer en Isabel van de Vuurkorf had er weer een mooi standje ... je kan er nog steeds terecht voor workshops...

such as the garden days in Beervelde... Isabel was there also with beautiful paperwork...look at her site (link above)...

en ik verwende er mezelf met deze prachtige 'tuinkaars' een plant die doorbloeit tot december,dit mooie 'greenmannetje' en een klein windgongetje dat al mijn wensen het universum inblaast ... en het is weer tijd om te genieten van de roodborstjes en koolmeesjes die lekkers komen halen :-)

and I 've spoiled myself with this wonderful 'garden candle' by a plant that blooms till December, this beautiful 'green man' and a small windchime that blows all my wishes to the universe ... and it's time to enjoy the robins and great tits to pick up goodies :-)

verder waren er de experimentjes met Ellis ... alvast een voorproefje van het eindresultaat...ik probeer deze week mijn blogschade wat in te halen ;-)

then there were the experiments with Ellis ... a preview of the final ... I try to blog a few time this week to catch some damage ;-)

ook de naaimachine maar weer even uit de kast gehaald, want in mijn garderobe is er nog wel wat plek voor linnen broeken...deze oranje is al af ...en past mooi bij het paarse rokje dat ik vond op een rommelmarktje ... en er ligt een wijnrode geknipt :-)

I've also taking my sewing the machine just out of the closet, because in my wardrobe is still some place for these orange linen pants ... ... is already off and fits nicely with the purple skirt that I found on a fleemarket place ... and there is one in wine-red cut :-)

alvast één van de nieuwe armbanden die ik gemaakt heb ...ik hoop ze deze week in mijn shopje te zetten .... de agaat doet het heel mooi bij de moeder natuurparels ....

and this is one of the new bracelets I made ... I hope to find the time to list a few items this week .... the agate is doing very well with the mother nature pearls ....

maar voor vandaag staat er eerst en vooral een paar uur administratie op het programma ... :-(

but today, I've to do paperwork... :-'( ... I hate those things ...
